GEDORE supports the motor sports team of TU Berlin

„Driven by perfection“

Remscheid, July 2017 – Team spirit, ambition and petrol in their veins – that sums up the FaSTTUBe motor sports team of the Technical University of Berlin. This year, GEDORE started supporting the young construction and racing sports team in achieving its ambitions with workshop equipment and high-quality tools made in Germany.

Every year since 2006, the 50-strong FaSTTUBe team has designed and built an entirely new racing car that then goes on to race in the Europe-wide student engineering competition "Formula Student". The highlight is the annual race on the Hockenheimring. However, the champagne shower does not necessarily go to the fastest driver on the course, but rather to the team that also makes pole position for construction, financial planning and marketing.

"GEDORE tools are the first step to success"

"We are driven by perfection. After all, building a racing car calls for maximum precision and perfect customisation. That's why quality tools by GEDORE are the first step to success for us," emphasises team leader Fridtjof Gustavs. His team has set major milestones with innovations such as a 3D printed cellular interior wing structure, electronic gear change, electronic wastegate and a fully variable engine system in the form of a single cylinder with turbo charge and divert-air valve, and is among the top 10 teams in Germany. This season, FaSTTUBe is racing two cars: at the roll-out on 8 June 2017, the team presented the classic FT17 combustion along with the overall concept of the future FT18 electric racing car.

"Passion and maximum precision – these characteristics drive the FaSTTUBe team as much as they do us," underscores Michael Hilger, Senior Brand Manager GEDORE Marketing. "Which is why we are so pleased to support young talents in the automotive industry. We wish the team every success in the upcoming competitions!"
