We require precision production documents to satisfy both standards and demands of the workshop for our equipment and our products. As a technical draughtsperson you independently design, draft, sketch and prepare the technical documents needed trouble-free production.
Field of activity
- You work closely with production and for that reason you require basic knowledge in mechanical manufacturing
- You prepare, for instance, 2D or 3D drawings, explosion-type drawings and/or the associated lists of parts.
- In your work you follow the relevant drawing standards and sizing appropriate to both manufacture and assembly.
- Extensive, modern IT equipment and the data transfer interfaces are of considerable importance in your daily work.
Career prospects after successful training:
- CAD specialist
- Design engineer
- State-accredited technician
Requirements
School-leaving qualification:
advanced technical college certificate ("Fachoberschulreife") as a minimum
Level of education:
An in-depth knowledge of the following school subjects provides the requirements for successful training:
- Physics
- Metalwork/technical matters
- Mathematics
Inclinations and interests:
- Interest in technical engineering (e.g. drafting machine/drive elements as well as processing equipment)
- A leaning towards draughting work
- A leaning towards precision work (e.g. completing true-to-scale and standards-true drawings)
- A leaning towards handling data and figures (e.g. carrying out specialist calculations of lengths, angles, volumes and surfaces)
