Business management assistant in marketing communication

Training period 3 years

As a marketing communication business assistant, you are responsible for marketing our company and our products in close consultation with the marketing, sales, purchasing and product management departments.

 

Field of activity
  • On the basis of a concrete briefing, you develop publicity campaigns for selected products or services within a team.
  • Along with the organisational sequence, you are also responsible for checking the impact and success of any publicity measures
  • You coordinate and monitor the work undertaken together with publishing houses, printers and other service providers.
  • You maintain contacts to the press and implement media planning
  • You are responsible for selecting and configuring our advertising material
  • You also undertake budget planning and both draw up and check on monthly accounts

Requirements

School-leaving qualification:
university entrance qualification ("Fachhochschulreife") as a minimum

Level of education:
An in-depth knowledge of the following school subjects provides the requirements for successful training:

  • Business economics
  • Mathematics
  • English
  • German

  • Interest in publicity and marketing (e.g. choose a marketing mix)
  • A leaning towards customer-oriented and counselling work which carries conviction
  • A leaning towards planning and organisational activities (planning communicative measures for the customer)
  • A leaning towards commercial thinking (e.g. accounting, financial controlling and bookkeeping)
  • A leaning towards work involving inspection and control (e.g. examining the copy and layout of a brochure)
  • A leaning towards oral presentations, speaking in public and presenting matters (e.g. presenting a concept to the customer)
